Suffolk County All Stars

2011/2012 All Stars Blue - Varsity

2014 All Stars - 7-0 Champions of the 2009 New England Youth Festival (NEYLAT)

The Suffolk County All Stars Select Program has been providing an opportunity for tournament play for the girls in the Suffolk County Girls Lacrosse league since 2003. In the beginning, the All Stars was for girls in the 7th and 8th grades, strictly Middle School. In 2006 the tryouts were opened up to girls in the 6th grade, but still with the intention of fielding Middle school teams. Giving in to pressure from girls that did not want to leave the program, 2008 was the first year to go beyond 8th grade and a High School level team was formed. The success of that team and girls from other ages wanting to join the program gave way to the current structure; a team in each graduation year from Varsity down to the 5th grade, currently 2011 to 2017. We field one team in each age group which keeps us a true select program.

The All Stars Select Program is a not for profit endeavor which keeps the overall cost significantly lower than most other programs. For example, the entire fee for the 2009 season was $395. This fee included registration, all tournament fees, uniform, coaches, practices and a 6 week summer league. Our unique coaching philosophy also contributes to our success and our low cost.

The culture of the All Stars Select Program is also very different than most other programs. At any tournament you will see everyone together, not just the girls on each team, but all of the girls on all teams; and their families. Hotel accommodations for all tournaments are arranged for each team by the program. In doing so all of the girls and families are in the same hotels continuing to bond and enjoying the camraderie.
